My birth parents were Aleta Goetsch and Nelson Shaffer from Michigan. They came to Wichita Falls, TX until after I was born on 02/02/1951 at Bethania Hospital. I was adopted through Children’s Aide Society in Wichita Falls at 3 days old. I am a girl. My parents were told they had a boy. I was told tonight by my half brother’s daughter that her mom told I might have been a twin, a brother. My half brother was stationed, I believe, at Fort Hood in Texas and that is why my parents came here. My niece believed my brother was adopted by a close friend or relative, maybe in Michigan. She didn’t have any more information and both of her parents are deceased. In 2001, I found my 3 full sisters, (identical twins) and 2 half brothers. My father was also a twin. His twin was William, Bill, Shaffer.
