Searching for birth SISTER who was 4-6 years old when placed for adoption through Sarah Fisher Children’s Home / Detroit. Court File# A-26,096 My name at birth: David Russell Crawford Adoptive name: David Kevin Arevigian DOB July 24, 1958, Detroit, Wayne County, at Providence Hospital. My adoption was private,/pre-arranged prior to my birth. Birth mother took all three of us siblings to Sarah Fisher Children’s Home in August of 1958. Older sister that I’m searching for was adopted right away. Sister Kathy that I’ve connected with went back to live with our birth mother a year later in 1959. Birth mother: CONNIE MARIE SUMPTER CRAWFORD: 26 at the time of my birth. 5’3", 120 lbs. Light brown hair, blue eyes. Catholic. Completed 9th grade and was employed doing clerical work - possibly at North American Van Lines. Connie had 3 siblings at the time of my birth. Two sisters, Ann and Ilean, who were 30 and 24, and one brother David, who was 21 at the time of my birth and was listed as mentally ill . Irish, English and German decent. Connie listed herself as divorced although there are no records of her being married or divorced, so it’s possible she was never married to David Crawford. Birth father: DAVID RUSSELL CRAWFORD: Age unknown/not given. 5’6", 165lbs. Dark hair and eyes. Protestant. High school grad, one year college. Employed. Was in the army or had been in the army at one time. Irish, English, French and German decent. He enjoyed swimming, dancing and bowling. Info on my birth father was given by my birth mother so I don’t know if his info is accurate.
