I found my Birthmother (dec). and Half-brother in 1997. Looking for my Birthfather. My Birthname is: Theresa Ann Christian. My birthmother, Jacqueline Eileen Christian, married to Richard Bradley Christian (1931-2001) in Detroit, MI in 1952. Bore my half-brother, David B. Christian in 1952, then divorced. I was born to unwed mother, Jacqeline Christian (born Jacqueline Eileen Wilson (dec. 1/33 - 5/99) previously married to Richard Bradley Christian (dec. 1931-2001) 5 years after she bore David, she bore me, out of wedlock. I was born at Crittendon Hospital, in Detroit, now in Pontiac or Rochester. I suspect she gave me up because she was unwed and my birthfather, was Mexican both very shameful in 1957. 5 year old David never knew of my birth, as he was living with his grandmother at the time. I don’t think she enjoyed parenthood and suspect she may have been alcoholic. Jackie worked as a bar waitress throughout most of her life. She eventually remarried and bore no more children. She live in the St. Clair Shores area. My birthfather’s first name was Manuel. I do not know his last name or if he is still alive. I know that he was an Hispanic musician and played the drums. (I assume that he played in a club where she was working). I don’t know that for a fact. I also don’t know if he lived in Detroit, or if he was a traveling musician. He was 29 when I was born which puts his approx. year of birth at 1928. I have a tree started in Ancestry and am working on it, but I am stumped. There were a lot of Manuels in Detroit at that time. Any information out there or any Wayne County "Confidential Intermediary" who wants to take on this search would be welcome. I was adopted to a wonderful couple, Urey B. and T. Jane Arnold through "Methodist Children’s Village" in Detroit now in Pontiac at the age of 7 wks. My adoptive parents are now both deceased. My adoptive name is Janet Sue Arnold.
