My name is Peter John Droste. I was born at St. Johns Hospital in Detroit Michigan on December 23, 1968. This I am certain of. But I was spoken for either before my birth or immediately afterwards (within 3-4 months) by Jean and John Droste, my adoptive parents. They are the only parents I’ve ever known. I believe the adoption took place through some Catholic Archdiocese in Detroit. My name Droste is likely on the birth record, as it is on my birth certificate (which I do not possess a copy of, but used to.) I want to know 1) the names of my biological parents and whether or not they are still alive. 2) I want to learn about my genealogy and ethnic history and background- for example when my bio-parents families immigrated to the states. My mother, Jean Droste told me they were both Polish, very young at my time of birth, and that their families were from Hamtramck. That’s all I know, but expect these things should not be too difficult to discover. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Please know in advance I hold NO ill will towards my bio-parents for putting me up for adoption. I have lived a fortunate life. But the time has come to know these truths. I simply want to know who I really am, what, who and where I come from. Thank you.
