I was born April 20, 1957 at either St. Joseph Hospital or McLaren Hospital in Flint, MI. She did not give me a name other than I was called "Baby Girl Olson" on the court papers. I was admitted to Michigan Children’s Aid Society and placed in foster care on May 1, 1957. In June of 1957 maternal rights were terminated. I joined my adoptive family in January of 1958, and officially adopted Feb 6 1959. My birth mother was 26 or 27 when I was born, unknown father was 40. Birth mother had two children from 1st marriage, no children from 2nd marriage, and I was born out of wedlock approx 6 mos after 2nd divorce. My 1/2 brother and sister were 5 and 3 when I was born. My birth mother had 5 siblings, ages at my birth were brother, 22, four sisters, 20, 23, 25 and 32, and all were married at the time. Maternal grandmother was 49 at the time, and maternal grandfather was 56. Both my birth mother and father were employed in some phase of factory/manufacturing, him being an assistant superintendent at a factory.
