Searching for my husband’s, Ron Reading’s, great grand parents. His grand father, Paul Marcus "Reading", was adopted in either Detroit, Michigan or possibly Clark or Fayette counties in Ohio... which were residents of the family that adopted Paul Marcus: Dallas Henry Reading born 10/28/1867 in Ohio and Minnie Jones Reading born 10/30/1869 in Ohio Paul Marcus’ birthdate of Oct. 28, 1898 has been used, but perhaps because it was the month and day of Dallas Reading...since we don’t know how or exactly where they adopted Paul Marcus. Mary M. Spurgeon Reading, born 1895 in Harmony , Clark, Ohio, was Paul Marcus’ wife. They had 9 children but did not reveal anything about the adoption to any living family member. My husband, Ron Reading was the son of Norman Lewis Reading, one of Paul and Mary Reading’s sons. Ron’s DNA was tested with Family Tree DNA with "autosomal DNA" test and Y-DNA which results is I-M253. Ron would like to know his birth last name and be able to trace his ancestors on his father’s side of the family.
