Good evening... I am looking for my mother’s half sister. We know very little about her because my grandmother didn’t want to talk about it very much. We know that she was given the birth name of either Jennifer or Jeanette, and that her original birth certificate likely indicates she was born in either Clay County, Arkansas or Dunklin County, Missouri in either 1945 or 1946. However, the adoption took place in the Detroit, Michigan area in 1946 or 1947. What happened to my grandmother’s first child has been a family mystery. I would like to help put this to rest - and perhaps find a long-lost family member.
