I am looking for a baby girl born to my aunt‚ a single women‚ Marjorie (Marge) Barker‚ at the University of Michigan Women’s Hospital in the summer‚ sometime between 1952-1957. She was adopted within a few days of birth. She was given the name Donna Jean Barker by Marge‚ but I don’t know if her adoptive parents changed it. I was told that my aunt didn’t want to give her baby up but wasn’t able to care for a baby‚ and the doctor advised against her sister adopting her baby. It was a family secret until decades later when I was told. I’ve always thought she should be able to know about her kind‚ generous‚ hard working birth mother if she’s interested.
