Hi! I am looking for my father's birth parents. On his birth certificate‚ his name was Arnold Buchan‚ born January 11‚ 1955 at Selfridge Airforce Base in Michigan. He was given up for adoption (through Catholic services I believe - his mother is said to be catholic) and adopted by George and Helen Brown of Northville‚ MI. We don't know if the name Buchan was his Mother or Father's‚ or anything about either of them‚ except for the fact that they were both in the military. His father was in the National Guard‚ and it does not say what his mother was enlisted as. They both were stationed or possibly worked at Selfridge Airforce Base in the 50's. My Dad does not want a relationship with his birth parents‚ but he has had some troubling medical issues (he had his leg amputated for example) and he would like to know more about that‚ as well as just know where he came from and who he is. Again - if his birth parents don't want to have a relationship‚ he is totally okay with that‚ he just wants information. Please‚ if you know any Buchan's from Pennsylvania or Michigan‚ contact me!
