My grandmother‚ Marie Hattie Darnall (Menard) was born in Detroit‚ and raised in Windsor Ontario‚ Canada. In 1943 or so she had a son that she talked about often with the first name Eugene Francis at hospital in Detroit or Windsor‚ Ontario. We aren't sure if my grandmother gave Eugene Francis up for adoption immediately after he was born or had him for a couple of years before adoption. She had another son‚ my father‚ Gerald Edward Darnall in 1946. My father is still alive and living in Muncie‚ Indiana. My family is interested in understanding and knowing if Eugene Francis is still alive. Grandma died in November 1989 at the age of 76 and we saw small writings that she had written "I love you my little Eugene Francis". She was heartbroken about giving him up for adoption.
