In or near Flint, MI in the early 1950’s our aunt, Dora F. Sloan gave birth to a baby girl. Named (K)Carla, we are unsure of how long if even she was with Dora. Carla would have two old brothers, Dale and Eugene Atherton. Dora had divorced their father near this time. Dale and Eugene were also adopted out but separately from Carla and are now know as Doug and Jim Balsbaugh and were raised in the Kearsley district of Flint. Our mom, Gloria was Dora’s sister and spoke often of Dale, Eugene and Carla. She had hoped to find them someday but never accomplished that. We would love to do it in her honor. Dale located us in the 1990’s.
