I am looking for birth family of my Great Grandfather who was born in Tawas City, MI. The Iosco Probate Court for "the adoption and change of name of Arthur Robert Adolph" is dated November 14, 1899 and "sealed" on November 15, 1899 for the "adoption and change of name of Arthur Jacob Katterman" (or Kattermann). A handwritten note by my Great Aunt states that he was born February 1899, but on another page she states he was born February 1898. She also noted that the birth father’s last name was Wilkins, but the birth mother’s name was unknown.
