I was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan at Borgess Memorial Hospital. At the time of my birth, my birthmother (born 1939?) was divorced and had custody of two daughters born in 1959 and 1960. She had graduated from high school and was employed as a secretary. Previous to my birth, she had and then gave up a girl, born in 1962. Subsequent to my birth, she had and then gave up a boy, born in 1965, and a girl, born in 1972. We were released for adoption through the Kalamazoo Children’s Aid Society.
