I am looking for my maternal grandmother or grandfather. My mother was placed for adoption in 1966 and I would love to connect with them if they’re interested. I believe my birth mother was 15 years old when she gave birth‚ possibly 14 or 16. She “went away” to have my mother and then complete a closed adoption. I believe one birth grandparent is Italian decent and the other is Swedish. I don’t believe they were ever married and he may have been drafted for the war back then in the 60s. She was adopted to a couple in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph MI area‚ but I don’t know which orphanage she may have begun in.
