I know that the birth mother was from a family of 15 children. They lived in Genesee county Michigan and were a farming family. Her and her husband were both younger when they married. She had a few miscarriages and finally had a baby boy around 1959, and had a premature baby girl in 1962. The little girl died at only 8 days old and later the same year the boy fell on a knife in the kitchen in front of his mother and died. The mom and her husbands marriage fell apart and he left. She moved back in with her parents and began working at a coffee shop. she met a truck driver who worked with the auto union and conceived a child. He did not want anything to do with a baby, and the estranged husband came back into the picture and decided to reconcile, with the condition that the baby be put up for adoption.
