My Grandfather was born in Battle Creek Michigan September 1922 and shortly after was given up for adoption. Adopted by Arthur and Sarah Anderson from Cadillac, MI. Birth mother was Hilda Anderson (Hildur Matilida Forsberg) from Sweden and Birth Father was Leonard Anderson from Sweden. They had 2 other children Leonora (Lenore, Lenora) Anderson born 1919 and Clarance Anderson (lived just a couple weeks and buried in Battle Creek, MI). My grandfather was born Charles Anderson and name was changed to Merlin Rudolph Anderson after adoption. I have been unable to locate what happened to Hilda and Leonard’s first child Leonora Anderson. I assume she was also given up for adoption.
