My dad was born Bruce Webb, 16th December 1945. He was born at Ridgefields Farm, Biddulph Moor, Staffordshire. His birth mother was Mona Bailey Webb nee Battersby. The evidence suggests that he was the result of an affair with an American forces person, who was stationed somewhere in the area. This man was a person of colour and my sister and I have established dna links to African American cousins in the USA. Dad was adopted in March 1946, possibly in Birkenhead. His name was changed to Kenneth McCabe. His adoptive parents were Billy and Lucy McCabe nee Gibson. They lived in Robinson Street, Edgeley, Stockport. Hopefully someone can provide a bit more information such as a name or a picture.
