I will be honest. For years I have been raised by a pair of narcissistic and manipulative parents in Mauritius. I was so much abused that many people asked me if they were my real parents. Then I started having doubts about my origins with them since I always believed that a true parent would never harm his or her own child. A friend once was convinced that the woman who raised me was not my birth mother... but six months later in a moment while he was drunk, he said that the father who fed me was not my birth father! I am hungry for the truth since I want to know if those people who raised me are my birth parents or are my unfortunately adoptive parents, from whom I was forced to distance myself to protect myself as well as my child and my marriage life.
