My father, William Kenneth Swinnerton was adopted in Boston, Mass. in 1926. He was adopted by William H. and Nancy Swinnerton who lived in West Roxbury, Mass. My father passed away this past May 2016 at 90 without us ever knowing his real parents. He began a search in public records as a young man but stopped at finding his mother’s last name at his birth was McAlpine. It was believed she was a Scottish nurse. She allegedly moved to Florida at some point. That is all we know about him. Dad and Mom had 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. I am his daughter, Gail. All his children would really like to trace his roots and know who our grandparents are.
