If you’re receiving this note, then you know that I exist and you’re wondering about me. Thank you for your concern! If you are one of my biological parents, I hope you are receiving this note, as I want to thank you for caring about my future and placing me with Catholic Charities. You gave me an incredible gift! You enabled me to have a wonderful life. I was raised by loving parents and with a fabulous sister (also adopted through Catholic Charities). While we lived a modest life, we were always safe, fed, and loved. I am happily married and have 2 wonderful sons. I look at them and am filled with amazement and awe. My love for them has made me realize that you must wonder about me, and how I am. I want to assure you that the decision you made for me worked out to be a decision that gave me the very best chance that a child could get in this life, and I am so grateful to you for that. I think of you with gratitude, and I pray for your wellbeing. While I am very interested in learning about my genetic background and any health concerns that I or my children should be aware of, I do not want to intrude upon your life if it would cause disruption.
