My daughter (adoptee) was born in George Washington Hospital in Washington, D.C. on February 12th, original papers I received birth was dated February 13th. Spoke with people at Prince Georges Count Welfare (from whom adoption was processed). (HYATTSVILLE Maryland, and they checked records and gave me her birth date of February 12, 1970 and sent a new birth certificate. Her name at the agency was Kathleen Dean. Her mother was very young (16 if remember correctly). According to sources the first two letter of her last name Dean (De) are first two letters of her mother’s last name. Some where I had a pix of her and on back the last name was blacked out but I could make out DeL???????. She is Mexican and Irish. She did a DNA with Ancestry and came up with primary Spanish. I always told her that I would help her find her biological mother when she was ready, so now at 48 she is ready. Any help would be appreciated.
