I was born James (Richard?) Pierce. My natural mother was in her late teens. Her background was one of stability. She is known to be of Anglo-Saxon by descent. Tall, slender and very attractive with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was one of three girls and had a twin sister. She taught herself how to play the piano. Favorite academic subjects were mathematics and biology. Her parents were religious people, active in their church to the extent that one served as a missionary in a foreign field. Her father’s principal job was in the field of skilled construction. My biological father was approx 5’8", stocky in build with brown eyes and dark brown hair. He was a high school graduate. His parents owned and operated a small business and were respected, substantial people in their community. He is described as a "quick thinker" and probably above average in intelligence. Although he has a quick temper, he was not one to "bear a grudge". Marriage was not possible and so adoption was planned by the natural mother in the child’s best interests.
