Greetings. I was born in LaPlata Hospital in Charles County MD in July of 1964 and put up for adoption. Five days after birth I was taken into foster care by John Sidney & Blanche Rebecca Dorsey who lived on Penns Hill Road (Dentsville) in LaPlata MD. My last name was Gray at birth and then 8 years later after adoption my named then changed from Jaqueline Ann Gray to Jacquline Ann Dorsey. My last name now is Dotson by way of marriage, but I’m divorced now. I was told that my biologiacl mother was 16 years of age and that her mother made her give me up for adoption. I also was told that she tried to locate me. She told the social worker to tell whom ever took me in to name me Joan. In May of 2019 I actually did my Ancestory DNA and discovered that alot of people that I went to school with and grew up with are actually my relatives. However, I’m still trying to narrow down who my actual biological parents are. It seems as if I’m related to the people with the last name of Cole, Washington, Farmer, Carter, Queen, Gross, Proctor and Savoy just to name a few but I have no clue if I’m related to them on my Biologial Mother’s or Farther’s side.
