Searching for my maternal aunt, Susan Jeanine Chappell, possibly adopted by Park family, who also lived as friends & neighbors at the time in Hyattsville, Maryland on Greenleaf Road. It was agreed, due to Susan already having an older brother that her first name be kept Susan, not sure if this stayed true or not though. She was born January 26, 1949 at Sibley Hospital in Washington D.C., was given up probably in a not so legal way and done within the 1st yr of her birth. I have pictures, 2, one of "Mrs. Park" holding her and the other is of her husband, who is also in a military uniform. I need to find the latter for possibly more important details. It was said to be that friends of theirs, the Park’s, were ones to have adopted her, supposedly a minister and his wife who could not have children of their own and they were said to be from North Carolina. How true this is, we have no idea, but it also has leaned more and more toward us all believing that the Park couple is actually who took her as their own. Susan, if the powers that be have allowed it, is 68 years old this year. You have 2 half sisters as well as another sister and a brother, one sister was lost this year in February.
