I was adopted at birth in st Boniface hospital in Winnipeg manitoba in 1970 to mary jane and Bert meeker, im not sure but it says my name was changed from sophie ann but doesn’t say a last name on my adoption records, not sure but my mother may have been from the little Saskatchewan band father may be from broken head .all I know is I am a first nation’s person. Ojibwa and saulteaux and a part of the 60s scoop I have my statis I’m guessing that my birth parent/parents were in residential schools in the area at the time not sure if they were married or not.
