My husband ‚Mykola Olegivich Petrooshak‚ was left locked in an apartmentat 6 yrs old after dad was taken by police and mother and sister fled. The neighbors took him to an orphanage some days later and he stayed there for 2 years before being adopted by a couple in the States. All he has is his name change papers‚ which thankfully gave us his complete name(listed above) and on the US birth certificate created it says he was born in Horliuka‚ Donetsk Region. We would love to find his birth parents and sister again but have no idea where to start. If anyone has any advice of how or where to start I'd love to connect! Or anyone recognize the name or region.
