The picture I am posting with this profile is the last photo I received of my Daughter‚ from an update that the adoptive parents send to the adoption agency and the agency forwarded it to me. Her adoptive parents names are Kim and Tom‚ they were originally from New York and resided in Southern Maine at the time of her adoption. Katherine Rose was the name that her adoptive parents gave her‚ I was told it was a family name. They also adopted a boy‚ in which they named Benjamin (he is her brother but not biologically). She was also on a synchronized ice skating team for a short period of time‚ the team is called the Nor'easters. I know she is dyslexic (I am also dyslexic- but I was not diagnosed until I was 43). Her date of birth is April 17th‚ 1997. I gave her my name‚ "Tammy Lynn" originally with her birth-father's last name‚ "Stackpole"‚ knowing that her adoptive parents would give her another name when the adoption was officially completed. The way that the adoption agency worked *Maine Children's Home for Little Wanderers* I relinquished my parental rights to the adoption agency and the adoption agency‚ then completed the adoption process with the adoptive parents‚ so I was only allowed to know their first names‚ in order to protect their privacy. The adoptive parents originally wanted a closed adoption but because they wanted to be parents so badly‚ they were open to having a partially open adoption‚ meaning that they sent updates yearly around Kate's birthday until her 13th birthday. I have not received any update since Kate turned 13 years old. I am on the Maine State's adoption registry incase if she decides to go to vital records and try to find me or in the terrible and unthinkable instance that she passes away‚ I will get notified by vital records. I would love to be reunited with my daughter and fully explain why I had to make this difficult decision.
