My birth mother lived in a Volunteer of America group home in Shreveport LA prior to my birth. I’ve been told her name is Penny, but she went by Lacy in the group home. I believe I was born at Confederate Memorial Hospital, but I’m not 100% certain. I launched a search for my birth-parents 15-18 years ago, but was unable to find any matches at that time. Hoping with the popularity of 23andMe and Ancestry.com, perhaps I’ll have better luck this time around.
