I was adopted on March 29, 1958 in New Orleans at Hotel Dieu Hospital. I believe my birth mother may have been from Mississippi. I know Dr. Max Pailet in New Orleans was involved with the adoption, but I don’t think he was my birth mother’s doctor. From what I understand, Dr. Pailet and my birth mother’s doctor brokered the adoption. Also, I was told my birth mother may have had a change of heart either right before I was born or right after. But, she ended up going through with the adoption.
