My mother was adopted in 1973 in Marksville, Louisiana. It was a closed adoption, and has been trying to find information her whole life. She knows very little she was adopted within a week of birth at a catholic orphanage/church, her mother gave birth to her on or near the Air Force base, and the records have been destroyed due to to the church which caught on fire. Existing records were withheld due to it being a closed adoption.
