I was adopted at 11 days old (at least that’s what my adoptive family has told me over the years) in New Orleans, LA. My adopted family is Linda B. Shaw (Mom), John G. Shaw Sr. (Dad), John Shaw Jr. (Brother) and Alicia Shaw (Sister). We lived in Covington, LA for as long as I can remember. Helen Bazor (Aunt) picked me up when it was time to go to my adoptive family’s home when I was a baby. I really need some information on a biological family history as I have developed some pretty serious illnesses that seem to be hereditary. My adoptive parents have both passed away so I can not ask them directly who my biological parents were/are. My adoptive sister was too young to remember the details and my adoptive brother had a handicap that didn’t allow him to communicate with us on a verbal or meaningful intellectual level. Any help I can receive in obtaining some sort of genealogy/family history will be most graciously accepted at this point. I am 35 now and as a husband/father dealing with many issues regarding my health, it is crucial that I know what I could potentially be passing on to my children. Thank You! Benjamin Shaw
