I was born in New Orleans‚ LA at Hotel Dieu Hospital. I think I was in St Vincent’s orphanage for a couple of months after birth. The nuns called me ‘Monica’. My mother named me Monica Henderson on my birth certificate. Her name was Virginia Dawn Henderson. I think the adoption was thru Catholic Charities.
