Hello‚ I am reaching out to seek assistance in locating my maternal grandparents. I have very little information regarding the adoption‚ biological grandparents‚ maternal family‚ etc. so I apologize if my message consists of information that is not helpful in this situation. My name is Lauren Ailshie. I am currently 28 years old and I have one brother‚ Jarrett Ailshie‚ who passed away at 26 years old in October‚ 2020. I am from West Monroe‚ LA but have lived in Lafayette‚ LA for almost 12 years. My mother‚ Carol Lynn Ailshie (maiden - Neeley)‚ was adopted by Beverly (Bud) Neeley and Madeleine Tressner Neeley of West Monroe around April/May of 1972 at Morehouse General Hospital out of Bastrop‚ LA. My grandparents officially got her when she was only a couple months old. She did have a foster mom for a very small period of time‚ but I don’t have any information on her. I am assuming she went straight to her foster mother from birth and my grandparents got her soon after that. My grandparents are the named parents on my mom’s birth certificate so there is also not information there. My grandparents have no biological children‚ but adopted a little boy‚ my uncle‚ in (I think) 1975. His adoptive name is Dwayne Austin Neeley. My grandfather was a Department Supervisor at Graphic Packaging in West Monroe‚ LA throughout my mother’s childhood and my life until his retirement in 2011. I believe my grandmother worked as a Radiology Tech until my mother was brought home. At that point‚ she became a stay at home mother and then grandmother until her passing in 2014. My grandpa passed away May of 2023. I know I have really no viable information so I just wanted to include as much as I could. I am well versed in my mother’s adoptive extended family so please let me know if there are any questions. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you
