My mother‚ who just passed away on 5/9/2024 from cancer‚ was adopted & I’m trying to find out who her birth parents are for medical reasons & to see if her cancer or other health issues are inherited traits that should be a concerning factor for me & my daughter & grandchildren. My mother’s Maiden name by her adopted parents is SUSAN NANETTE GREGG‚ Born In New Orleans‚ Louisiana in 1954. She married my father ‚Robert Steven Bihm on 03/10/1973. Her Birth Mother named her "Jaqueline or Jackie". She was born on 12/01/1954 at 9:35A.M. according to the birth certificate that I have‚ her Birth No is 157-54 023528 & registered with the New Orleans Health Department‚ Bureau of Vital Statistics. The dates are confusing. Date of signature by her adopted father‚ William Nathan Gregg Jr is May 6‚ 1955. Attending Doctor was A. O. Goldsmith‚ M.D. with the date of 12/2/1954. And at the very bottom‚ that has the date of May 16‚ 1956 with the Signature of the director‚ Bureau of Vital Statistics on her certificate & appears to be Naomi M. Drake. Her birth weight was 6 pounds & 10.5 ounces‚ according to a psychologist report 0n 2/25/55. I only have the top portion of the report‚ which doesn’t have information on who they are. It does say that she was admitted to their nursery on 12/4/1954. But there is no information on who they are. My dna test that I sent to Ancestry is expected to be complete by November 16‚ 2024. I truly appreciate any help that you can offer with my case. I need to know if my mother’s cancer runs in her birth family so that me‚ my daughter & grandchildren will know how to proceed with our health. Thank you so very much!
