My Niece was born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana, I believe it was May, June or July of 1983. The adoption was handled by Catholic Charities of New Orleans when she was still an infant, I believe within the 1st month. My sister was 24 when she gave birth, I believe the father was listed as unknown. The Adoptive parents wrote several letters to "the birth mother" giving progress updates of my Niece.
