I am an African-American female. I was July 23, 1963 in Louisiana. I was a ward of the state and placed in foster care in Shreveport, Louisiana, before I was adopted in 1968 or 1969. I My adoption records are sealed. The last thing I remember my biological mother telling me was that she was getting for me some more brothers and sisters. She told me this on my 5th or 6th birthday as she gave me a beautiful pink watch. Shortly after that visit with her in an office in the Family Services Center, I was adopted. I grew up in Webster Parish in a little area called Dubberly. I am looking for my biological parents and family members just to say I am okay and God blessed me with a wonderful family that adopted me. I have a beautiful family of my own. I just want to say, "Thank You for loving me enough to give me a chance to have a life. I love you, mom and dad."
