My name is Lisa Mohr and I am looking for my brother, Kenyon, I do not know if that was put on his original birth certificate or just Baby Boy Ricks however it stood for white haired leader or that’s what Mom always said to me and that is what I’ve always referred to him as. Our mother is no longer with us, she passed in 2006. Here is what I do know.... Mother: Shirley Fay Ricks Race: Caucasian DOB: June 7th, 1939 - June 23rd, 2006 - aged 67yrs Adoptee: Kenyon Ricks/ Baby Boy Ricks Race: Caucasian Born with white blonde hair DOB: Aug-Sept or Nov-Dec of 1958 Mom didn’t have any family support as our grandmother didn’t want anyone in the family and especially at her job as a registered nurse knowing her unmarried daughter had a child out of wedlock so she shamed mom into giving the child up for adoption and so she was sent to and housed at the Protestant home for unwed mothers in New Orleans LA until she delivered at Turo Infirmary in New Orleans, LA when she left the hospital the baby went to the Protestant Home for Babies until he was adopted. I have completed a DNA test through Ancestry, 23&Me, My Heritage, FTDna, and GEDMatch so if he also does one my name should pop up as close family! I look forward to hearing from you as I have been waiting since I was 18 and was able to start looking! First on the ISRR, then on the Louisiana Adoption Reunion Registry and on various adoption sites as well as a bunch of Facebook adoption/adoptee groups. I’m here and I won’t ever give up looking for my beloved brother and I certainly will be elated to finally be able to meet and get to know him! God bless and thank you for your time in reading this! Lisa M
