I was born at 5:12 a..m. in New Orleans, LA, mostly likely at Southern Baptist Hospital. The doctor’s name was dela Guardia. I was adopted through Sellers Baptist Maternity Home. The only thing my adoptive mom remembers is that my bio father was in the Air Force and stationed along the coast and that my bio mom may have also been in the Air Force. I have learned through very close Ancestry DNA matches that my biological father’s last name is almost certainly Loy and that he is originally from Ottumwa, Iowa. He is still alive and living in southern California. Because my DNA profile is 19% Scandinavian and the Loy family matches are much less Scandinavian, and because the few DNA matches I have outside his family show up as - Tuchtahagen, Sterryladner, Voss, and Wolter - I believe my mother is of Scandinavian (Norwegian) descent.
