I was born in Shreveport‚ Louisiana in June of 1968. Immediately after birth‚ I was adopted by a loving South Louisiana family through Catholic Charities. Now‚ with the age of technology‚ I am seeking information on my biological parents and siblings (primarily) to better understand my family medical history and possible health risk factors as I cruise into my 50s. I am also curious to know if I have any family members who might be interested in discovering a new brother (me). Here is some additional information that I have knowledge of: 1. My biological mother was purportedly of part Irish decent. At the time of my birth‚ her educational level was some college‚ she worked for the phone company‚ and she played the piano. 2. My biological father was purportedly of part Italian decent. At the time of my birth‚ he was divorced and had one son from his previous marriage. His occupation was in the field of carpentry. 3. My parents purportedly were not married and I was conceived during their romance‚ thus their decision – in my best interest – to be placed for adoption through Catholic Charities. Since I am unaware of the specific reasons/circumstances surrounding my adoption‚ I am sensitive to the fact that such “revelations” can open old wounds and cause new hurt‚ which I do want as an outcome.
