My name is Steven Philip Brindle. I was born, I believe in Lancaster, on 12 March 1962. My birth mother was named Sarah Bayly she was then a 20 year old university student, living with her parents. I do not know my birth father’s name he was an actor, from Canada, who had left England after a 3-month relationship with my birth mother. My birth mother’s own mother was not willing to help look after me, the new baby, and so I was given up for adoption. I was adopted, aged about 5 weeks, by John and Maureen Brindle, of Pleasington, Blackburn, Lancashire. They brought me up as their adopted child. My father died in 1987 my mother is receiving terminal care, in a nursing home. I would like to meet my birth mother, and get to know her, if she is still alive, and if she wishes this also.
