I was born Maxine Jeffery in Bearsted‚ Kent on 29th May 1960. My birth certificate shows my mother’s name as Ena Mary Jeffery‚ of Strood‚ Rochester. My birth father is not named on this document. I was adopted through the Church of England Children’s Society by an order dated 22nd November 1960 at St Helens & Widnes County Court. I believe my birth mother‚ Ena born on 17th May 1943‚ was one of 5 children born to Frederick Thomas & Florence Jane Jeffery (formerly Hogben) her siblings being Jean‚ Mavis‚ John and Henry.
