My great grandmother was Osie Daniels at birth, I think. We think she was born in KY or a neighboring state. She was adopted by a Marrs family. I am told Floyd Daniels may be her father’s name. Or his brother Paris. We don’t know her mother’s name. We are trying to find out whatever we can about this. I’m told that there was a "book" published by Terry’s Office Supply in Pikeville that listed several families that may play into this. Preston, Castle or Casslle, Daniels, Runyon. However, we have never been able to get a copy of this book. I’m told that many of the men in that area had multiple concubines at the time and perhaps her mother was a concubine. Her birthday was February 9. Possibly 1910. She was white. She died in 1983 but never really talked much about her past. She had a son with Madison "Mack" Harris in the 1920’s. (1925?) They may or may not have married. I can’t find anything on it. As she got older, she took on the name "Peggy" and was married to a man with the last name of "Poole" and another named "Blackburn." She was mostly known as Peggy Blackburn.
