I was adopted in 1970. My birth mother was a young woman who tried to give it a go with my father (they were together for 6 months after my brith) but it did not work. I think my mother was two weeks shy of her 21st birthday when she gave birth to me on 4th December 1969. She was young and I don’t blame her for anything. I was adopted by a lovely couple, the Finlay-Mullligan’s who lived in a large house in East Grinstead and I had a very happy childhood. I did well at school and university and went on to have a great career in industry in catering. I have a passion for great food. Nine years ago my own child (daughter) was born. She is my first and only blood relative. It got me thinking......I’d like to add to my jigsaw. Both my adopted parents are now dead. My husband and I have a good marriage of 20 years this year 2018. I have great friends and a full and happy life....but I’d like to meet my mum! My real name was Samatha Emery.
