She was brought to Ashraya Children’s home in Bangalore, India. When we adopted her, we were living in Utah. The name they had for her was Leela and I believe her birth mother’s name was Lakshmi and she was 36 years old and unmarried at the time. We were told she was a vegetable seller. Our beautiful girl is now 17 years old. She is loved but I have wondered about her birth mother all of this time and I want her to know that she is well and has had a good life.
