The adopted mother and I exchanged letters and pictures for about two years but once the adoption agency we used closed we had no recourse for communication. My situation was such that I could not shoulder the responsibility & wanted to give her the best shot at a complete life filled with a complete family. I now know how naive that was because you can’t guarantee that a family will remain the way it is portrayed at the time and everyone has some type of hardships to weather. All I knew was that we were broken on this side. I pray that the life I wanted for her was fulfilled and that somehow we can find one another and build a relationship from here.
