I am helping a friend with finding her sister who was adopted out in the early 60’s. What we know thus far Born between 1961-1963 possible date Oct 4 1963 City Born Kansas City‚ Mo Name Suzanne or Susan Lemmon or Evans (name given by bio mother) Adopted out to a family in KS from The Willows which was closed in 1969. The records were taken out back and burned. The story is both parents were still in High School when mother got pregnant. Father sent her off to the other side of the state to have the baby. She made a sweater for the girl. The parents were going to get married so they could keep baby but his parents encouraged him to go off to college in CA. If after he was in college and still felt the same way the parents would then give their permission for the marriage. He did not return. Believe both were about 17 yrs of age when Susan was born. My friend has been searching for her sister for years! She has made a pact to find her in the next year... so please if you know anything please contact me. Thank you
