Hello! I am searching for my biological father. His name is David Leroy Johnson. He was from Minneapolis, Minnesota. In the summer of 1984, he was working for a carnival that came through Parsons, Kansas. My mother, Laurie Lee Creed, was 17 at the time and ran away with him. They traveled to Missouri, then back to Minneapolis. He was a few years older than my mom who was born in 1966. He worked for a restaurant called Haan’s on Hennepin Avenue. They both worked for a temp agency in close proximity of the restaurant as well. He had a sister that my mother met also. At the time he had two small children (an infant and a toddler) that he showed her a picture of. During the time that my mother was there he was arrested on an outstanding warrant. He also became upset on one particular day because he had missed a notice that his ex posted in the paper which caused his rights to the other two children to be terminated. In December of that year my mother moved back to Kansas and never spoke to him again. His nickname was Patches. I was born Amanda Dawn Creed on May 21st. A few years later, my mothers husband adopted me and my name was changed to Amanda Dawn Nading. The adoption paper only states the name David Leroy Johnson, that he went by Patches and was from Minneapolis. I have been searching for him since I found out I was adopted in 2001. I would love to meet him and any half siblings that I have! Thanks so much for your help!
