My late Grandma was: .Born Dorothea Mae‚ on Jan 13‚ 1906 in Kansas City‚ Wyandotte Co‚ Kansas. .Baptized as Dorothy Mae on Feb. 19‚ 1906 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Alma‚ Wabaunsee Co.‚ Kansas. .Adopted Feb. 2‚ 1907 from orphanage in Alma‚ Wabaunsee‚ Kansas by Rev. Heinrich Christoph Friedrich Droegemueller and his wife‚ Wilhelminia "Minnie" nee Schulze Droegemueller. .Gramma first lived in Paola‚ Miami Co.‚ Kansas after her adoption into the Droegemueller family. .She died Oct. 29 1990 in Illinois as Dorothy May Rall (married name). *In 2002‚ Wabaunsee County court said they couldn't find papers. But if they had‚ I couldn't have viewed them anyways since I wasn't a party to the adoption. *Shawnee County sent faded papers from an unknown orphanage‚ transferring Dorothy to the Droegemuellers. No birth parent names on papers. They told me to contact Wyandotte for records. I did‚ and a Wyandotte judge searched‚ but couldn't find any records. UPDATE: Father was determined via Ancestry DNA. He is Robert Albert McCauley (1868-1935). So now we just need to find out who Dorothy's mother was please. Thank you for your kindness in trying to help me.
