Birth mother had a son in 3rd grade when I was given up at birth in 1951. Son (my half brother) lived with birth mother’s step-mother or mother-in-law. Birth mother was not sure she was legally divorced so couldn’t marry my birth father. Birth mother was of German/Irish/Swedish descent worked at a military store like BX or PX then worked as a (live-in?) domestic. Birth mother had two older siblings plus one younger sister who was adopted after their mother died - family kept in touch with the adopted sister. They may have lived in Missouri or Kansas. Kansas City is on the state line.
