When I was 1‚5 years old‚ I was abandoned at the entrance of the Yixing People's Hospital‚ Wuxi‚ Jiangsu‚ China. My parents left me there to be treated as I was suffering from pneumonia. The doctors treated me‚ but couldn't find my parents. I was sent by a police officer from Yixing Chengan Police Station to the Yixing Social Welfare Institute. While I was left at the entrance of the hospital‚ I had on an old white jacket which was torn. My parents must have been very poor as they came to their final decision to leave me at the hospital to get treatment. At 2 years old‚ I have been adopted from China and grew up in the Netherlands since then.
